New Tender Call for Building Capacity in EU Health Technology Assessment

HaDEA has announced a new call for tenders under the reference HADEA/2023/OP/0032, focusing on building capacity and knowledge for implementing the EU Health Technology Assessment Regulation (HTAR).

This call is designed to:

- Provide specialized training services aimed at EU Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies to bolster their knowledge and expertise in joint HTA activities.

- Develop a comprehensive competency framework. This framework will outline the technical expertise required for conducting joint clinical assessments (JCAs) and joint scientific consultations (JSCs) related to both medicinal products and medical devices.

The training program will encompass online classes, recorded modules, and personalized tutoring. It aims to deepen understanding of the HTAR, including the joint HTA framework, methodologies, procedural rules, and timeframes for preparing JCAs and JSCs.

Additionally, the competency framework will serve as a vital resource for national and regional HTA bodies. It will guide them in recruiting or identifying personnel equipped with the necessary skills and competencies for performing these specialized tasks.

With an estimated budget of €1 million, this tender represents a significant investment in enhancing the capabilities of HTA agencies across Europe.

Applications for this tender are open on the Funding & Tenders portal. Interested parties are encouraged to review the call documents and submit their applications by March 13, 2024, at 15:00 CET.
